YES I took the name from the D&D Succubi (switched the “h” around though)For those of you who havent played Dungeons & Dragons;Succubi are tanar’ri demons, and they are quite numerous. Many are under the command of the Abyssal Lord Graz’zt, but most are ruled by their “Queen,” Malcanthet. In Dungeons & Dragons the female child of a succubus and a human is traditionally called an “alu-demon” and the male child a “cambion” (though the later term can be applied to any demon-mortal offspring). However, the offspring of an alu-demon or cambion, as a result of a union with a human, has no specific name but falls into the larger category of tiefling.

In Mesopotamian mythology, Ereshkigal (EREŠ.KI.GAL, lit. “great lady under earth”) was the goddess of Irkalla, the land of the dead or underworld. Sometimes her name is given as Irkalla, similar to way the name Hades was used in Greek mythology for both the underworld and its ruler.Ereshkigal was the only one who could pass judgement and give laws in her kingdom. The main temple dedicated to her was located in Cuthah.the goddess Inanna refers to Ereshkigal as her older sister in the Sumerian hymn “The Descent of Inanna” (which was also in later Babylonian myth as “The Descent of Ishtar”). Inanna/Ishtar’s trip and return to the underworld is the most familiar of the myths concerning Ereshkigal.

Tango

The tango is a partner dance that originated in the 1890s along the Río de la Plata, the natural border between Argentina and Uruguay, and soon spread to the rest of the world.

Early tango was known as tango criollo (Creole tango). Today, there are many forms of tango extant. Popularly and among tango dancing circles, the authentic tango is considered to be the one closest to the form originally danced in Argentina and Uruguay.

In 2009, UNESCO approved a joint proposal by Argentina and Uruguay to include the tango in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Lists.

The Tango consists of a variety of styles that developed in different regions and eras of Argentina as well as in other locations around the world. The dance developed in response to many cultural elements, such as the crowding of the venue and even the fashions in clothing. The styles are mostly danced in either open embrace, where lead and follow have space between their bodies, or close embrace, where the lead and follow connect either chest-to-chest (Argentine tango) or in the upper thigh, hip area (American and International tango).

Biography

I was born in 1989 in Budapest.
Since I was little interested in various art forms. For years, I drew, I painted, szobrászkodtam, this knowledge is of great use to this day my shoulder in photography as well.
A Fine and Applied Arts Secondary School Leather Works Skene learned, I started taking pictures as a hobby in this regard.
Over the years, more and more I realized that photography in which I really want to deal with, so I finished training for the Royal College of Applied Arts Photographer.
Currently, the Faculty of Arts BCF expand my knowledge of photography.

In 2011 I opened my own little lakásstúdiómat where everyone is waiting for! If you want a unique and special series about yourself, feel free to look me up!

that’s quite a sight, eh This place was a manor originally but they turned it into a private school for girls. Sadly, the whole thing is collapsing. The inside is full of weird patterns, small corridors and stairways. It’s surprisingly easy to get lost in there.And no, it’s not haunted.

A Place Called Heaven

If the Bajau tribes of Kota Belud are known for their horse-riding prowess, the Bajau Laut tribes of Semporna are known for their seafaring skills. Bajau Laut tribes are usually known as the sea gypsy people, a term normally associated with the island people of the Pacific, especially in Borneo, southern Philippines area and other smaller islands.

For many years these people have lived in the ocean on their make-shift house boats. Probably only in recent years that they have made settlements into the coastal area, with their houses built on stilts. The ocean is still their main source of living – fishing, collecting clams and mussels, and even pearl farming in the remote islands of Bodgaya and Boheydulang.

Five Flower Lake (五花海) at Jiuzhaigou National Park(九寨沟) in early november 2009, Sichuan Province, China. It is the most famous and beautiful scenic spot in this national park.

My tears ran down spontaneously after first look of this wonderful place. It is real natural beauty.

Jiuzhaigou (Jiw-Jai-Gow) or Jiuzhai Valley is a national park and world heritage site in Sichuan Province of China. It has been called “Heaven on Earth”, that is not over described. Here the water in many lakes are so beautiful, crispy clear and multicolor, especially in autumn that the colored leaved add on the fantastic scenery.
This shot was taken from the most famous lake, Five Flower Lakw. You would be shock at first sight after seeing the beauty of its scene as me if you see it with your own eyes.

This place has a famous in a aboriginal peoples and the most biggest cabbage farm in Thailand.

This place can be travel all through year, when you have a chance to comes to Thailand. Please make this place as the landmark you have to try to visit

I take this photo around 6PM from view point area. The nature give me the treasure for a beautiful mist.

I has set the camera with my Landscape profile (custom with +5 sharpen, +2 sat, +1 contrast) and use -2/3EV to keep the cloud detail.

After that, use my Capture NX to convert and adjust/edit RAW file in level, curve and set the temperature gradient in the edge.

if you are lucky you can see the strong of mist below and get the twilight on this area. That’s a most beautiful thing you will memorize forever.

The land of fairy

Fairy Meadow is a lush green plateau, at 3300 m, offering a breath taking view of Majestic Nanga Parbat (The Killer Mountain). Many people have called it the “Heaven on Earth”. These lush, green meadows and forests lie at the base of Nanga Parbat at the western edge of the Himaliyan range in Pakistan. Fairy Meadows is a very peaceful and relaxing place to enjoy the mountain atmosphere and hospitality of the local people. The name Fairy Meadows is part of the legend that Fairies have their heaven on this lush green plateau. Hermann Buhl, the Austrian climber who made the first ascent of Nanga Parbat in 1953, named it Fairy Meadow due to its wonderful scenery.
It is about 540 km drive through Karakorum Highway, from Islamabad to Raikot Bridge (1400 m). Where local Jeeps will take you up to the Tatto village, it is one and half hour exciting drive from Raikot Bridge to the last village of Tatto (2900 m). Crossing through the most impressive view of Karakorum Highway & River Indus. On arrival at Tatto village, it starts trekking on very easy and simple route to Fairy meadows. It is a great experience to have overnight in fixed camping side, or in the traditionally built wood Huts, which offers magnificent view of the North face of the Nanga Parbat. There are several short walks on this plateau, including the full day excursion up to the base camp (3900 m) of Nanga Parbat. It is very easy walk through the forest till then the edge of the plateau call Beyal Camp (3500 m). Whereas the trek from Beyal Camp to base camp is little difficult along the Raikot glacier. Nice hotels and bungalows are available at the meadows, but you may also choose to camp in the grassy sites. After reaching Raikot Bridge one has to take a one and a half hour jeep ride just to get to the hiking point, at this point the track becomes very narrow and jeeps aren’t accessible beyond it. Then after an at least two and half hour hike straight up the hill you reach Fairy Meadows. 
Since 2010, many new hotels have been built which provide rooms at affordable rates, the food however is a bit expensive compared to what you get in cities but one can’t complain when meat, pulses and potatoes are available at this remote place as well. Locals have established a small village at fairy meadows also. Horse riding is also available here. The polo matches that are organized for tourists here are a delight to watch. The lush green meadows also serve as a football or cricket ground for tourists.
The place is closed in the winters due to heavy snowfall and is accessible only in the summers. June–July is the best time to visit this place. The Nanga Parbat base camp is accessible from Fairy Meadows, and if the tourists desires to visit the base camp then hiring a local guide would be good option. It is at least a total of a three and a half hour hike depending on your level of fitness.

Result of a late night photoshoot in the center of downtown Paris. Unsatisfied with the first couple shoots with Pyrotechnician Andrey Das, we got together one final time the night before we left France to do an epic shoot in front of a church with flaming ropes and an impressive 5 gallons of fluid.   The challenge was once again to do the entire shot in camera and blend flashes, multiple exposures and fireballs all without using photoshop. I’ll be doing a writeup quite soon upon my return back to Montreal on how multiple exposures can really get you some great results straight out of camera!   We’re currently in spain right now and will be shooting our final subject Cecilio Castrillo Martinez in less than 5 hours…                                                                                             photography by Benjamin Von Wong

From the sky down

I have just discovered the work of Kawahara Kazuhiko a Japanese Architect and photographer along with the Vortograph photography movement. Vortograph is the first completely abstract kind of photograph, it is composed of kaleidoscopic repetitions of forms achieved by photographing objects through a triangular arrangement of three mirrors. Alvin Langdon Coburn, a member of the Photo-Secession group and a pioneer in nonobjective photography, invented vortography in 1917 and remained the principal advocate and practitioner of the technique. So nothing is new! Like me Kawahara Kazuhiko uses architecture as a source of inspiration for his kaleidoscopic images but he has taken it to another level. He was producing this kind of work for a few years now, perhaps the movie Inception was inspired by his work? Well I do like his work, so had a go at using the triple image idea of the Vortograph fused with Kawahara Kazuhiko using photoshop.                                                                                             photography by Simon Gardiner

This is a shot I took inside the palace of Versailles, just outside Paris for my travel photography class. Although it looks like I got lucky and there were no tourists in its famous “Hall of Mirrors” actually there were tourists all over the hall (and in every frame I shot). I pulled a “tourist removal trick” which is part photography technique mixed with some Photoshop magic. You stand still and take a number of frames over a few minutes as people move through the hall, then you take them all into Photoshop and remove all the tourists by adding a layer mask and painting them away. Waiting for hope

this picture may be amazing for some people and may be the opposite for another but the subject of the picture remains the most important: to reinforce it: a child covered with the Iraqi flag in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, a snapshot does not mean more than wait and hope for an Iraqi immigrant in the West, even for another people not inmigrants , may be one day they sat at this place meeting contemplating the past in the present.                                                                                               photography by Mostafa Hamad

The Kuahong Bridge (跨虹桥) of the Su Causeway (苏提 / 蘇堤); 4 January, 2013

While deliberating on our next course of action, I chanced upon this view; one of six bridges along the famed Su Causeway (苏提/蘇堤). There was no chance of setting up my feeble three-legged support. The wind was just too strong.

Fake version: Instead of going for “The Full Monty”, I decided to use what’s left of some low standing shrubs to anchor in the foreground while part framing the bridge with the overhanging leaves from one surviving willow tree (柳树).

Truth: Fear of losing my footing and falling right into the icy lake (thus standing a few steps back)!

Nah! I don’t know which version to believe myself. As with most area of my photography, it’s a spontaneous thing.

The composition is right heavy but I think it goes along well with the route we were about to take. The dreamy effect was perhaps due to frost built up on my filter. Beats me too!

Venice of the East

Zhouzhuang (周庄), lying 30 kilometres away from Suzhou. A lot of the original, historic buildings in Suzhou were demolished, so Zhouzhuang is one of the few places where true regional architecture can still be seen. It is probably the most famous and popular of the four water towns, welcoming tourists since the 1980s. The story behind its rise to national attention is quite interesting. In 1984, Chinese painter Chen Yifei held an exhibition in New York, including a painting of the Twin Bridges in Zhouzhuang. A wealthy art patron bought it and gave it as a gift to Deng Xiaoping on a visit to China the following month. It wasn’t just Chen Yifei who took inspiration from the Twin Bridges. It, and the 13 other stone bridges, have been the subject of countless artists’ work over the years. You see the Brooklyn Bridge. ”The Brooklyn Bridge is a bridge in New York City and is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States. Completed in 1883, it connects the boroughs of Manhatta and Brooklyn by spanning the East River.With a main span of 1,595.5 feet (486.3 m), it was the longest suspension bridge in the world from its opening until 1903, and the first steel-wire suspension bridge.”

One Man

Bank Underground Station – Waterloo and City Line Foot Tunnel, London, England

I have seen this tunnel loads in photos around 500px and Flickr and other photo websites but never been sure where it is, I always  though it was at Waterloo Underground station but infact this is at Bank Underground station. It is a really awesome tunnel in that the ceiling is really low and wide arches. I came here when it was quite quiet and the photo that I have uploaded is exactly what I wanted to achieve. I was glad the gentleman in the photo had such a contrasting suit on.

To take this photo I adjusted the white balance when taking the photo as it was odd fluorescent lights that produce a orange/yellow hue and I also knocked up the exposure bias a bit to help with make the difference in contrast between the white wall and suit of the man. The post processing included importing into PTLens to correct barrel distortion and then edited in Lightroom 3, thats it really. I hope you all like it as its one of my personal favourites

This was one of my toughest shots in a long time. I used a Lee 3 stop ND grad to balance the exposure and other that no other gadgets were used for this capture. We reached Big Sur around noon and the plan was to drive all the way down to Hearst Castle with family who were visiting and come back. Unfortunately CA Route 1 was closed that day just after Pfeiffer State Park due to a 6500lbs rock sitting right on the road. The plan was abandoned and we drove all the way back to Carmel by the Sea and had lunch and said farewell as our relatives took Rte. 101S on their trip to LA. We decided to salvage what’s left of the day and get some snaps of the Bixby Bridge, another icon of Big Sur Coastline

Golden Hour

Or Blue Hour? Whatever it’s called I was really excited to take some shots with my new 6D. I left home at 5:30 am so that I could reach Battery Spencer (Sausalito, CA) before sunrise. Unfortunately I only had a 50mm lens on it and it wasn’t wide enough to take the whole view. Good thing that I had brought along my old and trusted 7D with a Canon EF-S 10-22mm lens on it! I was pretty happy with this shot. Hopefully my 6D will see some action soon when I buy the Canon EF 17-40 L .                                                                                                              photography by T F

Bay Bridge from Embarcadero

The San Francisco – Oakland Bay Bridge (known locally as the Bay Bridge) is a pair of bridges spanning San Francisco Bay of California, in the United States. As part of Interstate 80 and the direct road route between San Francisco and Oakland, it carries approximately 270,000 vehicles per day on its two decks. It has one of the longest spans in the world.

The toll bridge was conceived as early as the gold rush days, but construction did not begin until 1933. Designed by Charles H. Purcell, and built by American Bridge Company, it opened for traffic on November 12, 1936, six months before the Golden Gate Bridge. It originally carried automobile traffic on its upper deck, and trucks and trains on the lower, but after the closure of the Key System, the lower deck was converted to road traffic as well.

The Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge is one of three Santiago Calatrava-designed bridges built over the Trinity River in Dallas that was unveiled over the weekend.
